John Kuenster was born in 1924 in Chicago. Besides writing To Sleep With the Angels (with David Cowan), John Kuenster is a former staff writer and columnist with the Chicago Daily News, and editor of The Columbian. He is also the author of Remembrances of the Angels and Heartbreakers. Early in his career he was Chicago area sportswriter, and later an editor for Baseball Digest, a job he continued up until his death on April 2, 2012.
